Youth Genesis Mission Proposal to the Department of Energy

This proposal presents a low-cost, student-driven initiative to integrate high school and college students into the DOE Genesis Mission on AI and Nuclear by leveraging virtual access to industry conferences and providing a corporate Speakers Bureau for youth-led online events.

Our proposal will bridge the talent-development gap with minimal new funding, accelerate workforce readiness, generate youth-led content and peer outreach, identify top talent early, and directly support the DOE Mission’s goal of increasing winning the AI and Fusion race and doubling American scientific productivity. A Conversation about fusion power

Bellwether students were honored to hear from the CEO, scientist, and company leaders from Tokamak Energy. They discussed their history, current position in the industry, and recent breakthroughs in their spherical tokamak. They were the first-ever to capture pictures of fusing D-T Plasma! Much engagement with students, and discussion about how fusion can power the growth of industries of the 21st Century and improve the lives of billions around the world.

A Conversation about Molten Salt Reactors

The Bellwether Forum, in collaboration with the Stephenville Energy + Technology Club, hosted a virtual seminar featuring Lester Towell, Director of Operations at the ACU NEXT Lab. The session provided students with an in-depth exploration of emerging molten salt reactor technology and its critical role in developing sustainable energy solutions for the Texas power grid and the global market. 

A Conversation with President Elbegdorj

Our forum hosted President Elbegdorj Tasakhia of Mongolia to speak with students from around the world about how AI and Fusion Energy will transform the world.

United Nations General Assembly 80

At the invitation of UN Chief of HR, Kushal Ramyad, Bellwether leaders planned an incredible week of engagement during the 80th UNGA, setting up high-impact meetings with officials to discuss Sustainable Development Goals.

French Embassy to the United States

Students met with Mr. Dorian Serradeil, Deputy Counselor for Nuclear Energy, to discuss France’s success in nuclear energy and collaborative activities at the International Fusion Energy Organization (ITER).

Osaka 2025 World Expo

Students traveled to Osaka, Japan, to attend the World Expo and learn about the newest technologies in sustainable energy and collaborative efforts in nuclear fusion.

Meeting with Helion Energy

Over 50 students met with leaders from Helion Energy to discuss their work with magneto-inertial fusion technology and the importance of fusion to the future of sustainability.

Multi-Generational Planning Session

Youth leaders held a planning session with a former President and Prime Minister to discuss cross-generational collaboration on fusion and artificial intelligence.

Meeting with Microsoft leader Krikor Mnatzganian

With over 20 years as a project leader at Microsoft, Mr. Mnatzganian discussed developments in AI and how they could impact the future with our students.

Meeting with Christopher Craddock

RocketStar CEO Christopher Craddock met with our students to discuss his work on a fusion-enhanced space thruster, a grand lesson in innovation and entrepreneurship.

Meeting with former US Ambassador to the UN

Participants hosted Ambassador Sichan Siv for a reception and talk with teens to work on amplifying youth voices in international diplomacy.

Meeting with Governor Abbott’s Chief Advisors

Student leaders heard from the Governor’s top policy advisors on energy and technology and the new Director of TANEO about major developments in Texas industry.

International UN Youth Day

We hosted the first-ever Texas UN International Youth Day with over 50 students, who discussed UN Sustainable Development Goals with a high-level director at the UN.

Meeting with Lech Walesa

Students met with President Lech Walesa, the former president of Poland, asking him about the importance of finding new ways to achieve global solutions on energy security.
